Visit Canada Olympic Park. Did you know that in the summer you can zip-line down the very same ski jump that British underdog Eddie the Eagle Edwards did back in the Calgary Olympics? There’s tons of activities on offer at the Olympic Park in both summer (mountain biking, mini-golf, luge carts, lots of kids activities) and winter (luge, bobsleigh, skating, tubing).

Cut a rug at Ranchman’s. This dancehall and cookhouse is a Calgary institution, and guaranteed good time whether you’re into country music or not. Watching the penguins go for their daily walk is definitely a highlight of any visit, and being there to watch the big cats get fed is always a thrill.
