Its million people are known for their work ethic, their equal enjoyment of fun and their love of the outdoors. The Rocky Mountains are an hour away, but the joy of riverside walking trails are just a block or two away from your door when your staying with Executive Suites by Roseman. The Calgary Zoo is considered the best in the province of Alberta, a great feature about 5 minutes drive away. The new Telus World of Science centre is being built adjacent to the zoo parking lot. The towers of the Calgary city centre are visible from our street. Calgary’s centre is just a 10 minute walk from the front door. There is so much to do within walking distance. Calgary’s cultural district is a 15 minute walk, including the playhouses, symphony and food food food! Calgary’s Canada Olympic Park with skiing, snowboarding, ski jumping, luge, bobsled and skeleton in the winter, and great downhill mountain biking in the summer. The Bridges area, including our building, has great restaurants and great river views. After all the exercise you will need the nearby spa. Calgary’s light rail transit is 5 blocks from the building. Our central location is accessible to SAIT, the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University and the Calgary Public library. Best of all you can get from our central location to the airport, major shopping centres and east-west and north-south roads. If you came for work, you came to the right city. The oil and gas industry, agriculture, tourism and high-tech industries contribute to the city's economic growth. In 1988, Calgary became the first Canadian city to host the Olympic Winter Games. The good feelings still linger. Calgary’s winning (Canadian) football team, the Stampeders, and hockey teams, the Calgary Flames, provide great entertainment. You can also enjoy the Western Hockey League team in Calgary, the Hitmen, and Calgary’s baseball team, the Vipers. But most people come for work. Just don’t come, work and leave without enjoying the best of Calgary. |
