When the sun shines down on the streets on Winnipeg, there’s nothing finer than sitting on a patio with a cold drink, good food, and great people. With that in mind, here’s a round-up of some of the best Winnipeg patios for you to enjoy. And you know you really should get as much patio time in as possible, because in a blink of an eye it’ll be winter again, and we won’t want to be out anywhere!

The Kings Head is an English style pub in the Exchange District that has 27 different domestic and imported beers on tap, and a patio out front on which to sip them. The location, right across from Old Market Square, is perfect during the Fringe Fringe Theatre Festival, or any other festivals that take place in the Exchange District throughout the summer months. This is a popular spot, and if you love fish and chips or a good British style curry, then you’ll enjoy the food here too.

Segovia Tapas Bar & Restaurant is a gorgeous spot serving up delectable small plates to make your tastebuds tingle. They also have a nice selection of wines, or you could order up a nice big jug or sangria, and the way that the patio is laid out with rustic wooden beams and screening makes it feel private despite the fact it is on the street in busy Osbourne Village.

Deen’s Caribbean Restaurant and Patio serves up casual rotis, jerk chicken, and all the usual Caribbean favourites on their massive patio. The lush vegetation makes it feel garden-like, and if you’re lucky there will be live music on the patio too (there often is).

Cibo Waterfront Cafe has a glorious patio overlooking the Red River at Stephen Juba Park. This cool restaurant serves up inventive and tasty cuisine in a rather cool repurposed industrial building, and has an awesome cocktail list too.

The Black Rabbit is a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Osbourne Village that serves up amazing food and craft cocktails, and is super cool to hang out in. The patio there is lovely and shady, and when you’re there you definitely feel like one of the cool kids (or that you’re watching them at least).
